Datum Alloys Wins Business Language Champion Award

July 6, 2006 - Datum Alloys, of Kingsbridge, was presented with the Business Language Champion Award by the Regional Language Network South West (RLNSW) at a ceremony held at the Lord Haldon Hotel in Exeter on July 5, 2006.
RLNSW was set up in 2002 by the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) after a survey found that a fifth of Westcountry exporters have lost money because of a language or cultural barrier. The Business Language Champion Award aims to acknowledge businesses which have used language skills and cultural understanding to improve their business performance.
With a commitment to understanding its international customers' needs, Datum Alloys has build a diverse workforce that enables the company to overcome the language and cultural barriers. International markets now contribute the lion's share of the company's turnover and Datum Alloys has established itself as a world class stainless steel supplier for the electrical and electronic industry.
