Following training at precision machinists DCE Holne (R&D) Ltd of Kingsbridge, Devon and university studies in systems engineering, Ben started Datum Alloys in 1993. As founder, he has overseen the rapid growth of the company, working closely with customers to ensure that Datum fulfils the vision of a quality metals and alloys distributor that genuinely meets customer needs at all levels. He travels worldwide and visits clients on a regular basis to ensure that the Datum team has the fullest possible understanding of customer business and always remains 100% responsive to the demands of each individual customer situation. He is always available for personal discussion with all clients, regardless of size or the value of any current, potential or past order.
